Wrestling Observer Radio with Dave Meltzer and myself, guest co-host Garrett Gonzales, is back.
We open up the show talking about the recent news that Luke Perry, father of AEW’s Jungle Boy, was in the hospital because of a stroke. We talk about meeting him at an APW show held at the Cow Palace and how big of a wrestling fan he is, including producing Ric Flair’s 30 for 30 ESPN film.
We then discuss the Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch Twitter war and how well the entire angle is working, who to give credit to, and why it’s causing chaos with some of the fan base. We also mention the story that Roman Reigns is scheduled for a match at Fastlane.
We bring up Jon Jones and how many picograms showed up in his latest tests, his fight with Anthony Smith at UFC 235, and Dave’s thoughts on his buyrate guess from last night’s show. We update the rest of the MMA news before giving a quick review of Fighting with My Family, news on the upcoming awards issue, PWG, and The Destroyer.
