The biggest wrestling story of the past few days is the revelation that the current plan is for Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar to headline next year’s WrestleMania. Les Thatcher and Vic Sosa spend a good chunk of the show discussing the wisdom of this choice, a Reigns heel turn, the various reasons Reigns hasn’t caught on with the fans (including Vic’s theory that many people who boo Reigns aren’t actually booing Reigns at all), and more.
We’ll also spend a few minutes on the news that WWE has reportedly backed away from several wrestlers that recently left ROH (34:17) as a result of tampering allegations. While Sinclair has the right to defend themselves, is defending themselves actually the right thing to do in this situation?
The show wraps up spending a few minutes discussing the late Dennis Stamp (58:01), who might be best known for “Beyond the Mat” but was a lot more in the business than what was seen in that film.
Thanks for listening and have a great weekend~!
