WOR: UFC to ESPN, Smackdown, 205 Live, New Japan, tons more!
Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer is back today with tons to talk about including the UFC to ESPN deal and how it compares to WWE’s TV deals. In the end, it seems that WWE may be getting more from their deals than the UFC’s.
There is also news and notes on WWE moving to four hours permanently on PPV, SmackDown and 205 Live rundowns, ratings, New Japan Best of the Super Juniors and ROH’s upcoming tour in the UK.
Mailbag questions for today include the reason why SmackDown may be airing Fridays on Fox, a possible final push for Raw from Fox, ratings for WWE in the UK, the last woman who failed a WWE drug test, a possible correlation between WWE popularity and Observer subscribers, interest in Mike Tenay from New Japan or other companies outside of Impact, SmackDown ratings and Roman Reigns, UFC getting money for syndication rights and more.
