WOR: SmackDown, Full Gear preview, When Worlds Collide

On a packed episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Jim Valley recap Friday’s SmackDown and preview Monday’s Raw, both taped in Manchester, England.

SmackDown’s opening segment with King Corbin was one of the worst promos in recent memory. We also talk about the incredible performances of Shayna Baszler and what the future could hold for her in WWE.

Dave goes in-depth on the very close AEW and NXT television ratings from this past Wednesday. He offers his thoughts on who he thinks made the difference, if he thinks NXT would have won the night with better promotion, and where he sees problems with the ratings for AEW. 

After that, we run down AEW Full Gear, including Dave’s analysis on who should win and why. It’s also been 25 years this week since AAA When Worlds Collide. Dave talks about his memories of one of the most legendary PPVs of all time.
