WOL: Weekend wrap-up, Daniel Bryan, New Japan Cup, more

Wrestling Observer Live with Mike Sempervive is back today talking all of the fallout from a busy weekend on the canvassed mat. We talk the latest addition to the Daniel Bryan Speculation Machine, stemming from an interview in Abu Dhabi that once again leads to speculation about a possible return.

Mike also brings up a recent Daniel Bryan interview where he continues to say that he is not cleared by WWE, but feel like he’s closer to getting cleared.  Calls were taken on Gillberg vs. James Ellsworth not happening due to a lack of a doctor, Roman turning heel, sponsors being upset about Roman Reigns being cleared and more.

Zack Sabre Jr. and Hiroshi Tanahashi are squaring off in the New Japan Cup finals. Mike discusses how we got there, and where they go from here.
