Left My Wallet: Ross Hart talks Hart family, NHL and Dynamite Kid
On a new Left My Wallet, I talk with Hart family member and wrestling historian Ross Hart.
Ross has done it all in the business from wrestling, booking, promoting, reffing to even selling tickets and refreshments for his father’s Stampede Wrestling.
He joins the show to talk about the current state of the NHL, his Calgary Flames, who he believes is the greatest hockey player ever, and why Canada needs more NHL teams.
We then talk about the legendary Hart family flag football games that included Dynamite Kid and how he was unstoppable on the gridiron. He also talks about the rivalry between Bruce and Bret and the competition among other wrestlers and pro football players.
He then talks about how Dynamite Kid changed the entire wrestling landscape, how he came to Stampede Wrestling, why he is the most influential wrestler of the last 50 years and the stories of going from Stampede to WWF.
He also talks about working for World of Sport, wrestling in front of 20,000 people in his first match, working in Stampede and then some of the greats that he has been in the ring with. Finally, he discusses some of his favorite workers from today and what he sees for the business moving forward.
This is a fun and very informative conversation with a true wrestling historian who comes from wrestling royalty.
