Exactly what is our place in the universe?
That topic has been debated since the dawn of man, but unfortunately it has also gotten very muddled with politcs, religion, greed, and nationalism. Over 20 years ago the man-made object deepest in space turned its camera homeward and captured a tiny pale blue dot of light, our home, Earth.
The legendary astronomer Carl Sagan had a lot to say about this pale blue dot, and his thoughts ring more true today than they did even back then. On this episode of DragonKing Dark, host Karl Stern lectures on Sagan’s thoughts about this tiny spec of light captured from a vantage point millions of miles away.
Our home and our place in the universe is the topic of this week’s DragonKing Dark.
