On the second Pacific Rim Pro Wrestling Podcast show of the week, yours truly and Fumi Saito talk to WWE Hall of Famer Madusa/Alundra Blayze.
Fumi and Madusa have been friends going back to Minnesota in the 1980s, and like many North American wrestlers, Fumi helped her a lot while she worked in Japan. Madusa talks about how she was booked for WWE Evolution, why the costume she wore that night was special, the original plans for her that night, some options for her wrestling future, and her thoughts on the current roster including SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
Additionally, she talks about her career in Japan, her biggest matches, her hit single, and rivals like Chigusa Nagayo, Aja Kong, and Bull Nakano. She also covers her U.S. career including runs with Paul Heyman, Rick Rude, Eric Bischoff, and the infamous night she threw the WWF Women’s Championship in the trash on WCW Monday Nitro.
